We were called this evening by a distraught dog owner who had lost their dog earlier in the day. They had located the dog but she had fallen down into a fissure. The dog “Pearl” a black & White pointer was about 20 feet into the fissure which was also covered by heavy undergrowth which disguised the true depth of the hole.
All of the rescue’s we undertake come with a measure of danger. we always rate animal rescues we undertake as some the most challenging. This is because humans generally want to be rescued. Animals generally do not!
Thankfully Pearl was more than happy to see us, or that may have been the digestive biscuits on offer. It was a real pleasure to call the owners and say Pearl was safe and well, then the big smiles from the family when we dropped her home.
