Callout 121 & 122: We were called this afternoon by Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police to help locate a young family lost in the clouds in the Neuadd Valley. Having spoken to the family on the phone, we instigated a well practiced response and asked our colleagues from Brecon Mountain Rescue Team to come into the valley from the North as we came in from the south. As our 1st hill party was walking North along the ridge line they came across a party of 2 who were also lost, cold and needing help. Once checked over we dispatched a 2nd party to assist this couple off the hill while the other teams continued to look for the family. After numerous conversations with the family we established their location. Found very wet and cold we walked them off. Just as we were getting to the famous 642 trig point Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police gave us the heads up of another call. This was a lady lost in the clouds somewhere on Pen y Fan. We split our resources; we carried on assisting the family down off the ridge-line while the Brecon hill parties made their way back up the ridge line. The lady was found on Pen y Fan and returned to Pont ar Daf car park.
