As we were assembling this morning for one of our monthly training days we were contacted by South Wales Police : Heddlu De Cymru to search for a male reported to be stranded in his car on the mountain above Aberdare.
As we were ground searching, our friends on board the Police helicopter from St Athan located the gentleman from the air and directed us into his location.
He was cold, tired, yet uninjured and we were able to drive him off the hill onboard our 4×4 via rough track to an awaiting Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust road ambulance.
Another example of great joint agency working.
