Callout:
Soon after arriving back to our base from callout no 90 we were called back out for no 91.
This time to assist Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team with the rescue of a male who’d sustained serious injuries after reportedly jumping into the river near Scwd Gladus at Pontneddfechan.
Working also with Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust we immobilised the gentleman in a vacuum mattress and carried to the road ambulance using a mountain rescue stretcher and 4×4.
From there he was transported to hospital and of course we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
