Callout: At 8.20pm tonight we were contacted by South Wales Police : Heddlu De Cymru to locate a trail runner reported lost on the mountain between Blaengwynfi and Treherbet, Rhondda.
Fortunately our incident controller had good phone contact with the missing gent and was able to gather detailed info from him about his whereabouts while we deployed onto the mountain from the Treherbet side in low cloud and heavy rain. Shortly after doing so police officers accessing the hill from the Blaengwynfi side located the gent thankfully safe and sound. We stood down, retrieved ourselves off the mountain and returned home.
Great joint working again with South Wales Police officers, Sarloc Rescue and SARDA search dogs who were also en route.
