Two calls this afternoon into the spectacular Neuadd Valley. Call No.1 was for a dislocated knee, he was situated between Pen y Fan and Crybin. As we were responding to this call we were hailed down to be asked to assist a walker who had fallen in a gully (turned out to be less than 100m from where we were). As our colleagues from Brecon had responded into the Neuadd Valley to call No.1 we diverted to the second call. Its always amazing how each of us deal with pain differently! Our casualty was sat their smiling say his leg hurt a little! (more on that later). We packaged him up and got him off to Prince Charles Hospital. We then carried on to the original call. We carried him around the base of Crybin to Brecon Mountain Rescue Team Landrover. Update from call 2: He has multiple fractures in his lower leg, but he is still smiling.
