Support Team Members
The team constantly need help with its vital background activities which allow the team to fulfil its duties.
This help could include:
- Letter writing to grant giving bodies/equipment companies.
- Shaking a tin during street collections.
- Distributing and collecting static collection boxes.
- Giving publicity talks.
- Providing professional advice e.g. re accounts or legal advice.
- Running skills courses e.g. First Aid/Boat qualifications.
- Setting up a ‘Friends of….’ scheme.
- Writing newsletters.
- Maintaining the team’s web site.
- Helping out at the team open days.
The time commitment is whatever you can offer. Supporter members can attend Thursday nights so they can keep in touch with team members, catch up with what’s been happening and find out about future events.
