Operational Support Member

Operational Support members help by lending support to operational hill membership by ensuring that the deployment of search / rescue teams happens as quickly and efficiently as possible. Their job then changes to assisting the rescue by providing services like radio transmissions or providing transport where required.


Operational support members are also responsible for the administration of the team, maintaining our training records, all types of data relating to our operations, fuel receipts and personnel information.


Requirements:-

  • Serve an initial probation period of 12 months. During this time applicants will be expected to attend the training sessions relating to Operational Support and will be continuously assessed on their skills, temperament and suitability for team membership.
  • Have or had experience of hill-walking and / or climbing.
  • Attend some of the operational hill member sessions to obtain a working knowledge of the team’s way of working.
