There was no bank holiday R&R for team members this weekend as Central Beacons MRT was called out on 4 occasions bringing the total number of callouts this year to 70.
Firstly, the team were called out to assist Longtown MRT with two missing persons in the Black Mountains area.
Second call was to find and extract a Father & 9 year old son on Saturday night. We found them at the WWII bomber memorial. Very cold and glad to see us. Good joint effort with Brecon MRT.
The third call came late on Sunday night. A search on high moorland between the A470 and Neuadd Valley for 3 gentlemen. It was a long night in difficult conditions but another good joint effort with our friends from Brecon MRT. The team was stood down at first light.
Lastly, on Monday afternoon there was the usual call to Ystradfellte Falls area to a male with ankle injuries. The team assisted Western Beacons MRT and Brecon MRT to extract the casualty out of the gorge to the waiting ambulance.
Team members finally got to relax on Monday evening with the sound of the pager still ringing in the ears and the thought of returning to work on the Tuesday morning!
