Four incidents in four days

Posted in

We have been callled to four incidents in the last four days ensuring that the month of May continues to be a busy one - Nine incidents this month so far.

In the last four days we have been called out four times.

  • A group of walkers out for an evening walk in the Brecon Beacons called the police to report a sighting of flares in the next valley. Soon after starting the search in that valley one of our search dogs found a military group taking part in an exercise.
  • Next was to north of Cardiff to help police with a crashed hang glider.
  • Another sleepless night was to follow for a search for a missing vulnerable male in the Rhondda Valley. We found him safe and well.
  • And so to yesterday (Saturday 24 May) when we were called to help the ambulance service rescue a climber who had fallen 15 metres after the rock face he was climbing gave way. We carried him back to the roadside ambulance and he was taken to hospital with a broken elbow and pelvis injury.

All of our volunteers have been working hard this month to help maintain the highly professional level of care that we provide on all of our callouts.
