An incident for the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team this morning for a missing woman in the valleys north of Bridgend was stood down quickly when police found the missing woman safe and well.
Called at around 0430 this morning, Central Beacons team responded to a request for assistance from the Western Beacons team for a search for a missing person. South Wales police had requested mountain rescue assistance in finding a missing woman believed to be in Cwm Garw. Both teams responded and were preparing to go on the hill when the police informed the teams that they believed they had found the woman safe and well. The teams stood by until the police confirmed the identity of the woman and were stood down by police at around 0550.
