First of all, sorry about the David Bowie 80's pop reference in the title.
Lots of changes going on at the moment, new content being added - Penny's done a stellar job on the recruitment section. A couple of quick learning points have come out of that:
- I've changed the HTML filers on the "Input format" section. You should now leave that as it is - there should be no need to changed it to "Full HTML" unless you REALLY know what you're doing (and even then, you probably shouldn't).
- If you're creating menu items with submenus (see the section Penny created on the top bar called "How to join") let me know, because I need to set those as "Always expanded". What that does is it shows that little arrow next to the menu and allows you to browse throughthe links. Otherwise, unless you're actually in the parent section, the children won't show up on the menu.
Also, you'll see under the members area a section called Help. If you go and investigate it I'm using it as a showcase for "Books". Books are a new type of content I've enabled - they're a collection of related Pages, literally just like a book. The key thing is the navigation you can see between pages. In particular, I think this would be an ideal way of getting our training manual online, but that's just me. Have a look and see what you think. The lab site is going to be lagging behind the live site at the moment, mainly because I have to duplicate every change I make here over there, which takes time. Sorry about that.
