Today we attended yet another call for help and we have now moved into the 70's for this years running total of incidents.
We are now into the 70's for the number of calls for help that we've responded to in 2008. With over three full months of the year left there is every chance that this year will become our busiest ever.
Today's call for help was to a mountain biker who made an un-scheduled departure from his bike and in doing so had either broken or dislocated his shoulder. In glorious warm Autumn sunshine and in a combined effort with our neighbouring rescue teams and the Welsh Ambulance Service we carried him on a stretcher through forestry to the waiting air ambulance from where he was flown to hospital.
